As an e-commerce company, Vandeca bears a great responsibility towards the environment and society. We do everything we can to operate in the most environmentally conscious way possible with the resources available to us. We have already come a long way, but today we are extremely proud of our sustainable actions.
We work very closely with our suppliers, which is why we would like to highlight the wonderful initiatives that result from this on our website by means of sustainability labels. This can range from quality labels such as vegan, keto, sugar-free, lactose-free, gluten-free, produced in Belgium, to global initiatives.

At Vandeca, we believe a gift doesn't end when the treats are gone. That's why, wherever possible, we choose packaging that is beautiful and reusable, to reduce our CO2 emissions. Think of tin cans, sturdy boxes, and tubes that get a second life in the kitchen, office, or children's room after use.
This way, a candy jar is refilled, a tin becomes a storage box, and your gift lasts longer than just the sweet moment itself.
Less waste
Chocolate, sweets and biscuits that are nearing their expiry date, but are still perfectly tasty and safe, do not deserve to be thrown away in our opinion. That is why we are actively looking for ways to avoid waste.
Wherever possible, we include these products as an extra with orders. This way, the customer sometimes gets a nice surprise in the box, and we ensure that good treats are not unnecessarily wasted. Less waste, more enjoyment: that's what makes us happy.

As an online shop, we ship packages daily. That's why we not only consider what's inside the box, but also how we fill and protect that box. We reuse cardboard boxes whenever possible, and when packing orders, we also use a 'shredder'. With this machine, we recycle cardboard into packing material for shipping packages.
This ensures our products are well protected during transport, while limiting the use of unnecessary plastic void fill. For us, smarter shipping means: safe, tidy, and a more conscious approach to the materials we already have.
